Ellie has a rare genetic syndrome called Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome. This is the result of a genetic error on chromosome 4. It is estimated to occur in 1 in 50,000 births. Ellie also has right eye anophthalmia, which means she was born without her right eye. Ellies life has its ups and downs, but she continually amazes us and makes us smile. Friday, July 19, 2013. It has been a really long time since I have had a chance to sit down and blog about our little pickle. Time has gotten away from me. School coming to and end and summer beginning has had me in a whirlwind of work, appointments, vacation and just plain fun.
