Noho Marae trip 2009 was an amazing experience. We were greeted by two ladies and a Kaumatua.
At Kaitao Midlle School I am in the Accelerate Academy. Accelerate academy is the top academic academy at our school. I am in room 2 and my teachers name is Mrs Vaughan. On wednesday we have Technology. In technology at the moment I am in ICT and our teacher is Mr Apperley. Swimming was a great experience this year. We participated in the swim for life challenge. We also had lessons on how to survive in the water. It was really fun and I learnt alot.
Once we arrived at the lodge the owner talked to us and then we went for a walk around the lodge. Its really big and has lots of dorms. There is also lots of space to run around, and a big hall where you can rock climb.
About 2 or 3 weeks ago the whole of Kaitao went to the Aquatics for our annual swimming day.
We got them in Tauranga. Because our soccer game that was being held. On Tuesday 28th March I went to the Convention Centre with the Stage Challenge group. It was for Stage Challenge 09. In Stage Challenge you had to have a theme, our theme was on values and making new friends. Then every school had three turns each to practice.
All the sports i like are rugby soccer touch and softball. This year I am playing soft ball for kaitao, we will be facing Rotorua Intermediate and I hope kaitao wins again for a second time. Last month we played Rotorua intermediate in a game of softball and team 1 won both games but team 2 won only one game. We were at the Marae and then we went down to the waka and they showed us how to paddle and how to do all the commands for the waka and then we went for a paddle in the waka and then the other class had a turn. While they had a turn we went down to the park and had a little play until they came back.

This year the Accelerate Academy are staying in New Caledonia for 8 days. We are going to New Caledonia in Term4 at the end of the year. It is going to be so much fun. We are all fundraiser at the moment like. Car wash, sausage sizzle and also car washes. We raised so much money at the sausage sizzle. We have been also selling tickets for people to win a truck load of fire wood. We have been going to meetings and talking about who is setting up the events planed. We are all excited about going on this trip.
