On the 3rd of March we went on a marae stay, Discovery went on a waka experience at the lake front, when we got there we had to split into two groups. Before we could hop in the waka we had to put on a life jacket and get a paddle and learn paddle moves and when we completed we got to go on the waka. When we started we hit the wall, then we got of the wall we took. Then at the end we had a race back to shore, and we won of course.

Over the last 4 days we had a long holiday, On Friday we had teachers only day, On Saturday and Sunday was normal weekends but Monday was Queens Birthday holiday for New Zealand. For teachers only day I had to come to school because Mum has to go to work, my mum is a nurse and she is some times very busy. Well back to teachers only day story I had to watch movies and got to play on Gimp, Gimp is a logo and button maker for web sites.

At the marae we could play what ever we wonted to play like hand ball. cricket and Dodge ball and in hand ball I got some people out and I could only get to queen but I only got to king a couple of times and it was harder and harder to get king out. We all had a lot of fun on the Waka and I had a race on the water and the other people on the other Waka won the race to get back to the surface.

Once we arrived at the lodge the owner talked to us and then we went for a walk around the lodge. Its really big and has lots of dorms. There is also lots of space to run around, and a big hall where you can rock climb.

On the second day of Marae we went on a waka we did not go first so we waited at the lakefront park Joe went into the girls toilet it was so funny then it was our turn we had to learn lots of different paddle moves the we had a waka race we won of course. There was an error in this gadget. This is my Waka experince at the Tunohopu Marae.

In early march, Rm 4 and other Discovery Academies went to Tunohopu Marae. I enjoyed paddling the waka because it was my first time and it was fun! There were 2 wakas at the lakefront. The man in charge taught us some chants as we paddled. I was wet and cold and my hands were tired. But it was an awesome experience! .

About 2 or 3 weeks ago Kaitao went to the Aquatics for our annual swimming day.

We got them in Tauranga. Because our soccer game that was being held. On Tuesday 28th March I went to the Convention Centre with the Stage Challenge group. It was for Stage Challenge 09. In Stage Challenge you had to have a theme, our theme was on values and making new friends. Then every school had three turns each to practice.

We all picked a Random posse and yeah. I play netball and waterpolo. Wana make a huge shout out to MORRISON. My favourite foods are Burger King, Mc Donalds, KFC, and most of all Butter Chicken. Im in Accelerate Academy cause im a brainy guy.

At night we had dinner it was nice then after dinner we had free time. When free time was over we played some activities till we were going to bed. Then we got ready to go bed and the lights were off. While we were in our beds there was heaps of noise but I went to asleep before the noise went louder. My trip to the museum. In term one on the 2 nd. Of march we went to Tunohopu. When it was finished I felt a bit tired after that and yeah! Then we watched the Tarawera. Then we said to George th.
