My theme is combining standerd methods and mediums such as charcoal and soft pastel, with digital design. Mixing the two different processes creates a very unique finished product that I hope to continue to get better at. Friday, December 3, 2010. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. This piece was intended to convey scared or even terrifyed emotion. I used purples and blues in the background to keep it almost dull compared to the bright red I used to accent the face.
Please Do Not Feed the Hungry College Student. If you are an art student in college, then almost none of the normal rules apply to you. The sooner you accept this, the better off you will be. You will keep crazy sleep schedules that sometimes mean not sleeping and sometimes mean sleeping for days. The constant overload of coffee will make you very giggly around 10 am.

This was another independent piece I created. I learened from this piece that I do not like painting circles. I also realized I like more earth toned colors and not these pinks and purples. My concentration will be focused on color harmony in divided compositions. I know the colors are a bit trite or kiddie, but I tried to carry over the scheme with the yellow in the first two panels and the green repeated in the last two panels. Comment! Thursday, March 12.
