My focus in art this semester is to try new things and focus on new mediums. Friday, May 22, 2009. This is my polytych that I created. Again I had no idea what to do. I love softball so I made a softball piece. The sillhouette looks good with the stats n the background. The softball turned out good with the bible verse behind it representing wind. The glove was hard but the pocket of the glove is more stats that are colored to look more like a glove. Wednesday, May 20, 2009.
Hey my name is Blake and this is my blog. I really like shading and prisma color, its definately my strong point i think, or just sketching in general. Friday, May 22, 2009. My concentration will be focused on color harmony in divided compositions. I know the colors are a bit trite or kiddie, but I tried to carry over the scheme with the yellow in the first two panels and the green repeated in the last two panels. Comment! Thursday, March 12.
I used prisma colored pencils to draw three flowers from a picture I found on the Internet. I like the different colors i used but I probably could of took more time and did a better job on this project. Overall, I think it looks okay. Friday, March 20, 2009.

My theme for this semester is expressive brush strokes and focusing on color harmony. Sunday, January 9, 2011. This was a charcoal piece. I also used paint to make the gradients in some corners. This was another independent piece I created. I learened from this piece that I do not like painting circles. I also realized I like more earth toned colors and not these pinks and purples.
