My theme for this semester is to explore further than where the average mind goes. Monday, March 22, 2010. This is my Peter Max project. Then the patterns just really held it together. Monday, February 15, 2010. Piece partly because i didnt know where to start. Friday, February 5, 2010.
My theme is combining standerd methods and mediums such as charcoal and soft pastel, with digital design. Mixing the two different processes creates a very unique finished product that I hope to continue to get better at. Friday, December 3, 2010. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. This piece was intended to convey scared or even terrifyed emotion. I used purples and blues in the background to keep it almost dull compared to the bright red I used to accent the face.
Please Do Not Feed the Hungry College Student. If you are an art student in college, then almost none of the normal rules apply to you. The sooner you accept this, the better off you will be. You will keep crazy sleep schedules that sometimes mean not sleeping and sometimes mean sleeping for days. The constant overload of coffee will make you very giggly around 10 am.
Tuesday, April 27, 2010. I did this piece using textured and acrylic paint. Monday, March 22, 2010. I did this piece using photo shop. I took pictures of Hannah first then I edited them in photo shop. I then created the background and took pictures of it and applied it to the first pictures. Overall I am very happy with the way this piece turned out! This piece was done using textured and acrylic paint, pennies and string. Overall I like how it turned out! .

One day I just got the urge to try out some fashion sketches. This was really fast and simple. I added watercolor and India Ink to the pencil drawings. These are simple but I really like them. For my concentration I want to try to produce pieces using encaustic encorperated with image transfers. Monday, April 26, 2010. For this project i used found images, string, and image transfers. I used mixed media and string in this project. I like the colors i chose to use. This piece includes found images and arranged and held together with encaustic wax. Monday, March 22, 2010. This piece is in progress. This is a distorted portrait of hannah using acrylic paint.
I want to explore photography and learn new ways to take risk with it. Tuesday, January 18, 2011. This is my third independent project. It is once again in Charleston, SC. I tried the black and white again, but took some risk with making the colors in the tree pop out. I really love this peice and I am very proud.
Tuesday, January 24, 2012. I did a few small paintings one day, this is one of them. The left is male, and the right, female. It makes me think of souls. This was my pet lobster, Vea.
I enjoy working with found papers to create a collage and then adding encaustic wax to create mixed media pieces. I hope to go to SCAD and pursue a career in graphic design. Sunday, April 24, 2011. My theme for this semester is mood and movements. Tuesday, June 29, 2010. Got bored over the summer, and decided to do something. So I began collecting a lot of cans.
