Friday, November 30, 2012. I miss the man who showed me how loving someone could be easy. I miss the man who chose me to be his wife forever. I miss the man who loved his family and chose us before everything else. I miss the man who showed integrity by accepting everyone because of their differences. I miss the man who was passionate about youth sports his whole life. I miss the man who helped all kids celebrate their strengths and work through adversity. When I said I was awesome.

Mel Silberman,67, Professor Emeritus at Temple University, a pioneer in the field of educational psychology and training and a founder of vibrant Jewish communities in Philadelphia, Princeton, and Ocean Grove, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He passed after a thirteen year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services were at The Jewish Center,435 Nas.
