Today I will take down Christmas and pack it away for another year. At least most of it. I love opening the big green tubs filled with memories of Christmas past, and finding a place in my home for them to reside for a few short weeks. And I love the warm glow of the lights.

Mel Silberman,67, Professor Emeritus at Temple University, a pioneer in the field of educational psychology and training and a founder of vibrant Jewish communities in Philadelphia, Princeton, and Ocean Grove, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He passed after a thirteen year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services were at The Jewish Center,435 Nas.
Memories of Melinda Evans, a 31 year-old mother of 3 who lost her battle with breast cancer on August 17, 2007. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Alex was assigned to make an altar commemorating a loved one that had passed on in the manner of the Dia de los Muertos celebrations in Central America. No surprise that he chose Aunt Melinda. Friday, April 25, 2008. The passing of Melissa Greer was and still is difficult for us here at WBTV. Melissa was so brave throughout the whole process. She really felt a calling to share her story about cancer and faith. People felt really connected to her. The support for Melissa, her family, and all of us has been amazing.
