Mel Silberman,67, Professor Emeritus at Temple University, a pioneer in the field of educational psychology and training and a founder of vibrant Jewish communities in Philadelphia, Princeton, and Ocean Grove, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He passed after a thirteen year battle with lung cancer. Funeral services were at The Jewish Center,435 Nas.
Memories of Melinda Evans, a 31 year-old mother of 3 who lost her battle with breast cancer on August 17, 2007. Wednesday, October 29, 2008. Alex was assigned to make an altar commemorating a loved one that had passed on in the manner of the Dia de los Muertos celebrations in Central America. No surprise that he chose Aunt Melinda.
