My blog is becoming a travel diary in recent times. Lots of wonderful new places, lovely new faces and colourful spaces. My latest trip was to Queensland, the upper middle part of the east coast of Australia for my overseas readers. First stop was to Brisbane to do a Weekend Whizz Bang Workshop with the Queensland Quilters. On with the workshop! Everyone pitched in and helped set up the room and it was.

Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Long while, yes, I know. So why am I back now? Am I back for good? I have absolutely no idea! We will just see what happens. Which makes them very easy to put together.

Saturday, October 02, 2010. Over a year ago, I took a few applique classes at Cloth and Bobbin. And I was inspired by the pattern to use tons of Kaffe Fassett. The quilt is huge, and before I got started I could barely hand-sew so I had no illusions of finishing this quickly. Plus, it was a new project, so that always is inspiring.

How time flies but then Ive also had a bad start to the year with a few lemons thrown my way. Enough said on that! I thought Id show how Ive been working slowly on my Baltimore quilt and fussy cutting for leaves. I managed to join two borders onto the top and finish one corner. Im going to concentrate on getting this t.CONTENT

Last time I checked, it was still nicely stored up in my imagination; and it has not progressed past the initial stage that it was in from last year. Too little and life can be boring; however, too much of it and stuff can really get in the way of creative progress. MY GOALS FOR THESE BLOCKS.

Saturday, July 4, 2015. Mystery plant for July 4th- with July 6 update. Happy 4th of July to all USA readers. I need plant identification help today. When our son and his family visited here in Iowa last week, we found a pair of unusual plants in a city park, on opposite ends of a flower garden. Each is a small scale tree, or maybe it would be classified as a tree-like bush.
