My blog is becoming a travel diary in recent times. Lots of wonderful new places, lovely new faces and colourful spaces. My latest trip was to Queensland, the upper middle part of the east coast of Australia for my overseas readers. First stop was to Brisbane to do a Weekend Whizz Bang Workshop with the Queensland Quilters. On with the workshop! Everyone pitched in and helped set up the room and it was.

A Few of My Favorite Things. Red and Green Tradtional Quilt aka Christmas Journey. Sunday, February 18, 2018. I have really enjoyed quilting my red and white ocean waves quilt these past six weeks. There is nothing better to help me get thru the winter than having a quilt top to hand quilt. Today, I will work on hand stitching the binding down. That final step in finishing a quilt. One that I truly enjoy! Carla A Few Of My Favorite Things. Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Saturday, October 02, 2010. Over a year ago, I took a few applique classes at Cloth and Bobbin. And I was inspired by the pattern to use tons of Kaffe Fassett. The quilt is huge, and before I got started I could barely hand-sew so I had no illusions of finishing this quickly. Plus, it was a new project, so that always is inspiring.

Arrange whatever pieces come your way. Friday, February 13, 2015. Change is Good, Right? The anticipated 2015 Applique Mystery Quilt. Is no where to be found! Last time I checked, it was still nicely stored up in my imagination; and it has not progressed past the initial stage that it was in from last year. Too little and life can be boring; however, too much of it and stuff can really get in the way of creative progress. MY GOALS FOR THESE BLOCKS.
Sunday, November 3, 2013. Time Passes By So Quickly. I want to thank all the bloggers for their very nice comments about Cathey aka Pumpkin. She was a very special person. She had a great ability to write, to cross-stitch, but most of all to love. She fought a great battle with cancer but in the end, she did lose her life. Monday, October 14, 2013.
Saturday, July 4, 2015. Mystery plant for July 4th- with July 6 update. Happy 4th of July to all USA readers. I need plant identification help today.
