Barn Quilts and the American Quilt Trail. Friday, April 3, 2015. We made it through the cold. But it was tough! Eight inches of snow in North Carolina! Yes, it was February- to be expected! We stayed inside all cozy, as I was hard at work on Book Two. It is coming along well. Sigh When you enter a parking garage with the kayak racks up, damage will ensue. Love quilts in more subtle colors.
Hopefully this is worth the wait. Day two was initially expected to be the only day at the clinic, and that afternoon we would head home.
Thursday, August 6, 2015. Missed three weeks of posting to my blog. I feel like I was missing in action. Partly, I was just all over the place with my quilting. Starting too many projects and not finishing any. But, I also had the excuse of my grandchildren and my sweet granddaughter is extremely demanding and seems to still have major meltdowns so she requires a lot of my time, attention and energy. And she creates chaos as she goes.
Wednesday, July 1, 2015. I know I know I have been gone for one month! But truely I have a GREAT reason! And so I have been busy getting our current home ready to sell and on the market and of course packing , pitching and more packing! Its been crazy, we also sold one of our rentals as well so as you can imagine I have been cray cray with everything. First up we have Laurie, look at her lovely quilt and as usual a lovely vinette! Loving the quilt and the longaberger baskets! What a lovely gift.

Thursday, August 6, 2015. For Boarders, Sashing ,Strips, Blocks? Thank you for any hints ,suggestions and etc. Saturday, August 1, 2015. The top picture shows 6 different blocks that we want to add batting and backing to and then machine quilt them into something , we have not decided yet what to make ,. We used sharpie markers for fabric and used sencils to make them with. She asked me to make a bible cover with it and Camo , I forgot to take a picture of tha,t but I will soon.
Sunday, June 5, 2011. Nine months ago a favorite co-worker announced a baby on the way. what a great opportunity to design a quilt. I hand appliqued the entire quilt and then machine quilted it.
