I am so excited to be in the classroom teaching your children. We will use many different mediums this year, learn new skills and have a lot of fun! The blog will be updated each week by Sunday.
Tuesday, January 10, 2017. I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday break and enjoyed the snow. Fifth graders will be working with protractors this week and how they relate to angles. We will concentrate on the basics for the first class than begin creating Mandalas using radial symmetry-symmetry around a central axis, as in a starfish or a tulip flower. Students will draw themselves playing in the snow using oil pastels than use this techniques to create a snowy background. This is fun and messy, a great way to start the year!
