Wednesday, June 20, 2012. This quilt has been in the works for a couple of years. And to think of all the time I spent cutting wedges of fabric off the sides of rectangles. Someday soon I hope to christen this quilt by using it for a picnic.

That is a very good thing, but it also shows all of my UFOs. They must have either discipline or a lot of work in progress. No idea why I left them! I am my own.

Thursday, March 29, 2018. Taken from the front porch a few weeks ago, this photo shows most of the front briar patch. Last year, it grew higher than the fence. Recent rain, cold, and damp days allowed safe burning. I began by placing damp, flattened cardboard boxes on top to bend the briar stems over, pouring on 4 big bins of leaves. Leaves burn very hot igniting the cardboard. And an oven-like incinerating tunnel formed under the cardboard. Which took out a large percentage of the dry and green brush.
