Gypsy Quilter Designs

Thursday, March 29, 2018. Taken from the front porch a few weeks ago, this photo shows most of the front briar patch. Last year, it grew higher than the fence. Recent rain, cold, and damp days allowed safe burning. I began by placing damp, flattened cardboard boxes on top to bend the briar stems over, pouring on 4 big bins of leaves. Leaves burn very hot igniting the cardboard. And an oven-like incinerating tunnel formed under the cardboard. Which took out a large percentage of the dry and green brush.

I am a passionate purple quilter. I am passionate about purple, and passionate about quilting. Saturday, July 11, 2015. My Viking sewing machine was in for servicing. After we picked up my Viking from the shop I brought it home and set it up right away. I sewed down the binding with the Viking and it worked out great. I did use a bigger needle size on the Viking than I had on the Featherweight. I wonder if that helped the skipping problem? Links to this post.
