Where seam rippers are our friends. Bright Colors for an Endless Winter. Last night I finished off a bag a scraps that had been used and reused for quite a few years. Here is the original stack of reds, oranges and pinks. and a little white even this far south. Their first use was for a quilt made as part of a block swap. The only thing to do was to make another quilt. This one as a gif.

This is the view from the balcony of the house we were staying at looking up the road to the beach car park and the sea. It is a wonderful view.

Some months ago I celebrated my 60th birthday with a 7 course degustation and wine matching dinner cooked in my kitchen by local chef Dean Wong. He had offered to cook to cook and serve a dinner for eight people as a fundraiser for the local school and we were the lucky highest bidder for this wonderful prize. 1 Trio of mushroom soup french, field and brown or button. 2 Seared snapper with avocado potato crush, asparagus hollandaise sauce.

Wednesday, October 26, 2011. It is so sad the day has come and I have to stop with my blog. I havent posted for some time and now I have to stop with my swaps. My life has taken a swing to the right then back to the left and Im in the middle of alot of whirl winds. I will hopefully be back on board in the new year with a new life. My swapping buddies I will miss alot as I did enjoy swapping with lots of ladies from all over. BYE BYE FOR NOW AND TATA.

Saturday, January 16, 2010. Well what does a mum do when she is presented with a torn, beloved, pair of pj pants by youngest son, My Crash Test Dummy? He presents them to me to be fixed, I say yes, I will look at them tomorrow. Then tomorrow comes and he hands said pants to me. So what do I do for this hole? Sew sticky .
