I am an 18 year old student, studying at the Overseas School of Colombo. I am following the International Baccalaureate Diploma program. Creativity, Action and Service! Thursday, February 9, 2012. On the 2nd to the 5th of December 2011, 2 coaches and 10 girls including myself travelled to Mumbai, India for the SAISA Girls Basketball tournament. The two months leading up to that were intensive with 2 hour practises on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday but it definitely paid off as we came first place! The coaches kept us collected and we strategized our plan for the semi-finals and hopefully, finals. Monday, November 21, 2011.

Monday, March 5, 2012. Model United nations was by far the most interesting CAS activity I had unertaken for the past 2 years. With reference to my goals, I had achieved all of them and more. 2 I learnt more about each countries stance on global issues. By chairing a committee with around 150 delegat.

Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Personally, I think that CAS has been the aspect of the IB diploma that has allowed for most the individual and personal growth. It was there to ensure that we got that essential balance between our academics and extra-curriculars. I have attached below, my CAS reflection form, which presents my learning against each criterion.

For example, we donated bags of new toys for kids. I got aware of my leadership skill in this activity. The other challenge which I think was the most challenging was singing. I always loved singing but I never sung. So I finally got a chance to perform.

Increase stamina in football, stamina is my weakness for football. I always had trouble keeping up with training. And after knowing those weak areas, I tried to work really hard to make it as my string areas. It took a lot of time to do that but still by hard work worth it.
