We have come a long way since the blog has been down. With only weeks to go before handover the internal are almost complete. As you can see with the photos, the first and second floor are complete, only leaving the main entrance corridor to decorate. We are having the final push on the externals and the temporary car park being replaced back to the original state before we arrived. Monday, 22 July 2013. Friday, 5 July 2013. Friday, 21 June 2013. Mass concrete works have been completed to the retaining wall and the facing stonework has been laid ready for coping stones. Kerbing and hard landscaping works are progressing to the front of Block 1 and adjacent to Block 2. Friday, 21 June 2013. Excavations ,steel fixing and concrete pour for the retaining wall are now completed. As trench is now excavated and g. As, water and electric are now connected to all plots. Monday, 22 April 2013. The project is now complete after a seamless handover to Kirklees council on Thursday 7th February. The project was completed to a high quality standard both internally and externally with complimentary remarks from the client and clients representative. Another excellent project delivered from the Wates Kirklees Team. A big thankyou to all involved. Tuesday, 5 February 2013. Internally, we have nearly completed the snagging list produced by Kirklees Council.
Friday, 23 August 2013. Externally British Gas laid the mains and fitted the meters. Northern power grid have commenced on site pulling the mains cable and next week will connect onto the existing services. Internally much the same as last week 2nd fix electrics fitting lights and sockets. Plumbers are connecting the sinks and fitting the showers in blocks 2 and 3, giving the plots a feel of completion with only the final decoration to do. Friday, 16 August 2013.
Work on site is now complete and it is ready to handover. Friday, 21 June 2013. The subcontractors are pressing on with the internals with the first and second fix of the mechanical and electrical fittings, this allows for the joiners to fit the kitchens. Monday, 17 June 2013. The rainwater harvesting tank has been installed this week, it will be used to store rainwater collected from the roofs and then supply this water to the ground floor properties for flushing toilets.
