Sunday, January 16, 2011. Red Wings win in Vancouver B. Colby and I headed to Vancouver for a weekend of hockey, food and power shopping as a way to retroactively celebrate our birthdays from October and November. As you all know those months were sort of a bust for us so this was a great way to make up for lost time. Being a fan of the opposing team is not the ultimate way to see your first NHL game, but the Wings won so who really cares? Ya just gotta love Canada, eh? Kris and Colby Phillips.

Das Sauerland trägt so ein bisschen das Image der großen Party-Meilen im hessischen Teil dieses Landstriches mit sich. Dass es auch anders geht, zeigt der Märkische Kreis. Kurze Zeit später stehen die Koffer in Reih und Glied auf dem Bürgersteig gegenüber dem Hotel Rad, das für 5 Nächte unsere Unterkunft war und einen prima Service abgeliefert hat. Wenig später sitzen wir schon im Bus und lassen diese schöne Reise noch einmal Revue passieren.

Wednesday, October 6, 2010. Okay so I have been very busy and actually kinda forgot about this blog. So On May 3rd our wonderful son Niklas. William was born and we were so blessed to be able to be at the hospital and care for him there until he was released on May 6. He is a very healthy 5 month old now and we are excited to be in the final stretch of the adoption! Just a couple months and he will be officially ours! Wednesday, April 14, 2010.
