Thursday, June 16, 2011. I went to a conference last week. It was three nights out of town, away from family, surrounded by colleagues. Many parts of the conference were great and it was good to get a few days away from the stress of my job. I do think I am doing better than in the winter. My joint pain has diminished and i am eating pretty much what I want. Saturday, June 4, 2011. I wish I could be happy. It can be so hard to feel the happiness here.
Back then, I thought that few people beyond my real life friends would be interested. I was delighted when it started getting over fifty readers per day.

If I had anything as grand as a founding principle it was to try to be as honest as possible. But recently I became curious about how the doctors have charted my illness, so I asked for a copy of my medical records. Finally, my medical records are a hef.

This is how the UC used to make me feel. Search, Search, Survive. I am 37 and a teacher. I am a happily married man with 2 boys aged 13 and 10, and we live by the sea.
