Sexta-feira, 22 de maio de 2009. Átomos são as partículas que formam as moléculas. Prótons e nêutrons-têm massa aproximadamente igual. Elétrons - massa 1837 vezes menor que a do próton. O número de elétrons é igual ao de próton e suas cargas elétricas têm o mesmo valor apenas com sinais contrários. Portanto o átomo é elétricamente neutro, isto é sua carga elétrica total é zero. Nome dado ao átomo quando ele ganha ou perde elétrons e deixa de ser neutro.
