Reflections on Stained Glass

The refraction of light and colour in glass is perhaps art in its most luminous form. The Church of St Mary, built on the remains of a Saxon Church and incorporating some of the ancient stonework. The north chancel wall of the church is home to a stained glass window which was designed in 1927 by Karl Parsons and was featured in the 1992 Christmas stamp set issued by the Royal Mail. And church on its hill over.
