Sunday, October 20, 2013. The summer of 2013 brought a new bird to my collection of bird sightings. I noticed this osprey sitting above the shoreline. Another picture showing the distinctive markings. I believe this is a young osprey. It sat on this branch above our road and cried for a long time, then finally flew away. Tuesday, January 10, 2012. Friday, December 30, 2011. We have had a few canvasbacks diving close to our dock, but I have not gotten any pictures. I have identified them with my scope.

Swans on Pattison Lake. In the spring of 2009 two beautiful Swans landed on Pattison Lake. We watched in amazement as they glided gracefully onto the water. Where did they come from? What kind of Swans are they? This blog is one persons experience with these very special visitors to our lake. They were too far from the shore to get a good picture of their coloring. It was raining otherwise I might have taken the canoe out for a closer look. Here is a movie of the two swans flying around us as we sat in .CONTENT
