On Thursday Jo from Hawkes Bay Sport came and taught us how to jump correctly. 1 Eyes to the front. 4 Swing your arms and jump. Tuesday, 12 November 2013. We are learning how to be safe in the sun. Here we are making a bag. We then had to choose 6 things that we need to take to the beach. We cut them out and then we put them in the bag. We all chose a hat, sunscreen, t shirt, sunglasses and two other things. Saturday, 9 November 2013.

Sunday, 24 November 2013. There was a lot of cardboard. We could do whatever we liked with it. Look at some of the things we did. Sunday, 17 November 2013. We made boats and then we put them in the water to see if they would float. There were lots of magazines on the table. Some of us made cards, some of us made books and some of us pasted them onto paper to make a picture. Sunday, 3 November 2013. Wednesday, 9 October 2013.
This week we have started our new maths unit on Measurement. We started by comparing everyday objects in our class to see which was heavier. We had to learn to make sensible estimates. We were surprised by how heavy some things were compared to others. We recorded our estimates and results in our books. Our next step will be to weigh items using grams and kilograms. Today was our last session of Ultimate Frisbee. We are playing as team, using the passing and catching skills we have practiced, finding space and having some active fun! .

This week for homework Mrs Jackson asked us to write a review of our year in Rm 5. I have had a great year. I have participated in lots of activities and contributed in lots of service things.
