A Journey in Grace and Hope. Thursday, August 1, 2013. I took some radioactive pills that eradicated the thyroid cancer cells in my body. I came home from the hospital and entered my bedroom to be in isolation for 3 days, instructed to drink gallons of fluid and suck on hard candies to keep my salivary glands from being too damaged by the drugs. My bedroom is tricky to navigate as the boxes take over.
It seems to have an easier interface on my end. I look forward to your feedback.
Wednesday, November 21, 2012. My time in Bundibugyo has come to a close. The last year holds many dear memories and precious freindships. It is a bittersweet end, but I am grateful for my life in Bundibugyo, and excited to begin my new job as a first grade teacher in Virginia Beach.
