Wednesday, November 21, 2012. My time in Bundibugyo has come to a close. The last year holds many dear memories and precious freindships. It is a bittersweet end, but I am grateful for my life in Bundibugyo, and excited to begin my new job as a first grade teacher in Virginia Beach. Wesalo goodbye Uganda. Clover has a new home in the Stevens yard and is so happy there . We were so blessed to see the birth of the Johnson puppies before leaving Uganda! Goodbye to dear Kym and Lydia. I will miss you!

I came home from the hospital and entered my bedroom to be in isolation for 3 days, instructed to drink gallons of fluid and suck on hard candies to keep my salivary glands from being too damaged by the drugs. My bedroom is tricky to navigate as the boxes take over.

Monday, December 13, 2010. Do you know how much happens in a year? Wella lot. Got engaged to the most amazing man. Planned a wedding and got married. Went on an incredible honeymoon. Gained a whole new set of family. And got my first job as middle school teacher of kids with emotional behavioral disorders.
