Monday, December 10, 2012. Palmerston North, or The Badness of Youth. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Since we actually got 2 days without rain I headed further north and hiked up to the summit of Mt. Oxford with Steve and Nicky. The trip map is shown below. The starting elevation is just below 400m and the summit is at 1364m. The whole trip took us about 9 hours. The summit was covered in snow. Yay! And the reward upon our return - BEER! .

Even before it was over, we knew we were having fun Class A, and by the time we got to the car, we were already nostalgic for the peace and quiet of snowy mountain ski trails. Very snowy at the start. The best cabin Caribou Bluff. Endless bags of snow to melt for water. Chillin in the cabin. Fixing my down booties for the 87th time. Mike on the trail.CONTENT
