Mike and I finally skied a loop in the White Mountains. The first day we skied 20 miles to Borealis Cabin where it was -38F. Very snowy at the start. Endless bags of snow to melt for water. Fixing my down booties for the 87th time.

Monday, December 10, 2012. Palmerston North, or The Badness of Youth. Saturday, May 30, 2009. Since we actually got 2 days without rain I headed further north and hiked up to the summit of Mt. Oxford with Steve and Nicky. The trip map is shown below. The starting elevation is just below 400m and the summit is at 1364m. The whole trip took us about 9 hours. The summit was covered in snow. Yay! And the reward upon our return - BEER! .
