It is all correlated with the Alberta Program of Studies. The website is very extensive. There are thousands and thousands of resources for teachers to access. In particular, Math 5 Live! Teachers can save the resources they find into their own folder on the website.

Sunday, May 17, 2009. This website is a cyberhunt activity aimed at elementary students to learn about the Amazon Rain Forest. This is a professional website that is posted on the Scholastic website. The website has a kid-friendly look! The instructions are clear for students.

Our Sun-sensational Star-Website 3

Sunday, May 17, 2009. Sun-sational star is an Internet WebQuest on the sun. The activity is targeted for students in Grades 3-5. Curriculum correlation is for Grade 6 - Sky Science. This is a teacher created instructional project that has been published on GeoCities. Students work in groups of 4 to find out information about the sun. The task was clearly outlined.

Sunday, May 17, 2009. This website is set up like a virtual tour so students can learn about volcanoes. This is a very sophisicated website that was created using Tramline. com software to design a virtual tour. Students navigate through many websites to learn information about volcanoes.

ALEKS Online Math-Website 5

Tuesday, May 19, 2009. ALEKS is an online learning course for all grade levels and subjects. It is meant to offer tutorial help for students. It is a very professionally developed website that would be ideal for correspondence and home-schooled children and adults. The introduction was age-appropriate and clear. The task was clearly outlined. I was given a chance to practice entering numbers before I began the assessment.

Sunday, May 24, 2009. This is a professional developed website for teachers to use. It is funded by the Telus corporation and is based in Edmonton, Alberta. Instructional materials and online resources are provided for Alberta teachers. Resources are also provided to be used with students. It is based on the Alberta Program of Studies and is designed for all teachers K-12. ICT curriculum outcomes are are provided on the 2Learn site.
