Thursday, March 29, 2018. Taken from the front porch a few weeks ago, this photo shows most of the front briar patch. Last year, it grew higher than the fence. Recent rain, cold, and damp days allowed safe burning. I began by placing damp, flattened cardboard boxes on top to bend the briar stems over, pouring on 4 big bins of leaves. Leaves burn very hot igniting the cardboard. And an oven-like incinerating tunnel formed under the cardboard. Which took out a large percentage of the dry and green brush.
Sunday, March 25, 2018. I did do a lot - cooking, cleaning, working, filing taxes, grocery shopping, walking the dog, etc. Genealogy and quilting tend to compete and this week, genealogy won.
Friday, March 31, 2017. My partner should be receiving her quilt soon. I started this when I was in Sunriver, but pieced it differently than the book recommended. I machine quilted and hand quilted it. And my instagram feed for this week.
