Thursday, December 10, 2009. This was the art project I taught. It turned out ok as a class. We used a vanishing point and then the lines of the buildings needed to connect to that vanishing point. For this art work we were given construction paper and pastels, along with a picture of a landscape and we were told to create it after instruction o.
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Pastels are VERY MESSY! We learned about linear perspective and vanishing points. We drew our horizon and picked a spot on the horizon to be out vanishing point. We used a straight edge or a ruler to get all of the lines lined up exactly where they needed to be. Once you have all of the lines drawn and building created you can make them as detailed as you want. It was a fun project! Tuesday, December 8, 2009. We created our own sketch books! Friday, December 11, 2009. Monday, December 7, 2009. This was a lesson based on different 1 persons prospective on a landscape. These stepping stones were made by using cake pans or whip cream containers and cement. We were asked to bring a picture or to use a design using beads and p. Line, Shape, Form and Space.
Friday, December 11, 2009. For this lesson we were asked to bring in pictures, beads, shells, and any other objects that we wanted to place in our stepping stones. We then poured cement into whipped cream bowls and were able create our own designs with the materials we brought. For an extension activity to go along with this would be when learning about chemical and physical changes and also when talking about rocks. Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Thursday, December 10, 2009. This was a lesson on scrapbooking. We learned the history of scrapbooking and than we were given a bunch of supplies to create our own scrapbook page. The more color and the designs on your page the better it will look. I had a lot of fun doing this. Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Monday, December 7, 2009. As an extension students can learn about the different mountain ranges around the United States in geography class. Than they can take differe.
