When the campaign was PBEM I always used the wargames map, because it was important that each player could see in advance exactly what the wargames table would look like. Tuesday, November 15, 2011. Link to 1813 Tortosa Campaign. The next phase of the 1813 campaign will be in north east Spain and will deal with the Spanish attempt to take the city of Tortosa. Having crossed the river Elbe Blucher orders his corps to advance west until they make contact with the French. Both corps suffered light casualties.
The 1813 campaign has been running for more than a year, and I am running out of space on the original blog. Saturday, May 19, 2012. Battle of Waterloo - Move 11. Table at the start of move 11. French infantry converge on Hougoumont. French have won firefight and routed Dutch infantry far left. French have routed British on ridge. British have retreated to cross roads.

Wednesday, December 15, 2010. Strategic map at start of Passau campaign. The Valladolid campaign is the fifth phase of the larger 1813 Campaign. It covers the period 12 July to 22 July, and the fighting in western Spain between Fifth French Army and the British. It has been done as a separate blog in order to keep all of the relevant reports together and to avoid making the main campaign blog too long and complicated. We started the campaign on 20 August 2010.
Saturday, August 8, 2015. Amendment to Rule 04 - Map and Movement. I have reduced the cavalry movement rate to 4 squares on road, 3 squares off road and 1 square in difficult terrain. The cavalry will not be allowed to be more than one square from their corps. This is mainly to avoid the problems I have encountered when setting up a wargame to fight a campaign battle. Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Link to 1814 Campaign in France. This is the last of the mini campaigns fought as part of the overall 1813 campaign. The next campaign will be set in France in 1814. It is loosely based on the historical campaign. The major difference is that all six campaign areas will be fought at the same time. There will be 12 command posts, one allied and one French for each campaign area. I have started a new blog for the campaign and you can find it here.
