but it sure is fun to cook, serve and eat with them. I have colorful vintage Pyrex, some Scandinavian enamelware and ceramics, and a few other odd pieces, mostly from the 60s and 70s. I am going to make a better slip by improving the fit. My first pattern had no method to fit the chest, except an unusual bump on the sides that jutted out from under the armhole. I will use my Swiss cotton batiste again for the cutout. I have another hankie, larger than the last, so I will lay it out with pleats to take up the excess. New hankie has fine embroidery. I will trim the remaining corner for a godot. Now I can finish edges. First I sew down my seam allowances .
Saturday, July 30, 2016. Got out to do a little thrift-ing today. I am a vintage cookbook junkie! Scored this adorable Susan Branch recipe binder. Love the stickers and index cards. This is a cute resin rolling pin wall hanging. And to quench my shabby chic side, I found this pretty silver pitcher, a cute little rose vase and a Laura Ashley canister. Lastly I found this vintage refrigerator meat drawer. Its perfect to hold lunchmeats and cheese in my modern refrigerator.
