Friday, October 1, 2010. LAST POST - 11 TOOLS. I think this was a good walk around the amusement park of technology. I really enjoyed learning about making picture stories and videos. I hope I can get some of these things in my classroom. I researched Jig and seems like the same deal, except with a little more technology involved. Visuals, videos and pictures can be incorporated. I am not sure for Pre-K how.
Get a Voki now! Friday, July 16, 2010. Final 11 tool post! I am proud of myself. I think digital citizenship is the most important element in this new technological world. As a teacher of 4 and 5 years old students, I will work on making sure that my young students understand that the use of the internet is OK under adult supervision only and there are some rules that we must follow at all times. Sunday, August 8, 2010. Boy was I wrong! I enjoyed the most. Although I became frustrated when I could not get it to upload I turned to my techy. Fiends and they were able to help me. I think this was a very valuable staff development.
11 Tools For The 21st Century Learner! Thursday, July 8, 2010. I have previously used Google Maps, Google Images, and the Google search engine, but I had no idea about Google Reader and Google Docs. I know I will continue to use these Google resources personally as well a professionally. Google Docs will make it so much easier to communicate with my team, and Reader will definitely help me to keep track of my online resources. The first activity I will most likely attempt.
Friday, July 30, 2010. I still want to create a word cloud in Big Huge Lab. Again, this type of visual is a great set for a topic. I assume one of the objectives of 11 Tools is simply introduction to some of the resources available and certainly not mastery of. As far as outcomes go, there were some pretty difficult. At least, for some.
