Here are some interesting mods for the AW2 AutoWah, the child of the TW-1 Touch Wah. Triangle LFO Mod changes the sinusoidal LFO into a Triangle wave for a subtle yet noticeable effect; sounds best at high LFO rates. Click on an image to enlarge it.
The Marriage of Tube and Screamer! Although I chose the TS-5 for my Frankenstien, you can use any of the TS series. Here is the modified Tube Screamer guts schematic. Click the image to enlarge it. The TS-12AX7 mods are shown in blue. The 47k resistor on the inverting input of the clipper circuit has been lowered to 1k. This increases the gain almost five-fold for the clipping stage.
