I am a 37 year old woman who has been through three arthroscopic surgeries of my right hip, one open SDD surgery of my right hip, and a THR of my right hip. The surgeries were to correct labral and cartilage tears as well as FAI and arthritis. It has been a four year journey of Pain and Learning. I realized through my quot;Hipster Journeyquot; that you have to be your own advocate to get the right help and treatment. I am posting my story to help others who may be going through the same experience.CONTENT

The continuing learning curve that is my life with Ernie. Sunday, 21 October 2012. Once more into the blog . Much time has again passed since i last blogged here. I have offered a number of tit-bits through Facebook but not properly discussed our progress. As i noted at the end of the last note, i now understand what non domination, non conflict really means. I have begun to appreciate the challenge. And how that impacts life with Ernie. For me i want this to be something that we will continue to share.
Meeting the Eternal in the present. Sunday, February 4, 2018. I said goodbye to a dear friend today. And felt like I had just stumbled upon a spiritual gold mine. I kept stopping to ponder that I had seen him in church every day for so long, yet had never known what was there, below the surface. By the end of the day I knew I was going to have to speak with him in person. He was the quintessential tortoise in the tortoise and the hare story.
