Monday, January 13, 2014. Today my Momma Bear celebrates her 80th birthday. The photograph above was taken when she was 30, back in 1964. Yesterday we had a celebratory lunch at Cranage Hall for her special day. My sil, Kath arranged it all and did a rather splendid job. Mum had chosen the menu; minestrone soup, a roast dinner and her favourite dessert of all time a knickerbocker glory! Mum loved it all. Mum was in her element, surrounded by all her grandchildren. It didnt end there. She stayed over.CONTENT

Our latest prayer letter is out, read it here. Friday, 2 January 2015. Christmas day was spent with another British family and a Dutch short termer. Our friends had even found a turkey! Mum had sent out some Christmas crackers and we had great fun explaining to our American and Dutch friends what they were! Christmas here is so much quieter than in the UK, I like it!
