After the annual family reunion, John and I took an extra day to explore the Finger Lakes region of New York State. We started Sunday morning at Watkins Glen. Where a 3-mile round trip hike follows cascading waters through a narrow gorge. The paved trail even goes behind two waterfalls! Driving north along Seneca Lake, we gazed at sloping hills covered with vineyards. We stopped at Rock Stream. Up the street at Wicked Water.

Every now and then a viewer of a documentary can be placed in a position of not just experiencing a film, but evaluating it from a place of knowledge. This happened to me with my viewing of the new four-hour film on the life and career of Walt Disney.

My brother got me into the show, and being a fan of SF, I jumped in headfirst and never looked back. When the show got cancelled, I hardly mourned it. I had moved on to other pursuits, was addicted to other SF universes. A good mix of new and old.
