Lesedi offers a variety filmmaking workshops to teens in communities of color in New York City. All our workshops are free to all participants. It is part of our mission to provide our students with a top notch education which includes hiring knowledgeable and experienced teaching artists and supplying state of the art equipment for video and sound recording, editing and digital distribution. Or by pledging a monthly contribution.

What is Lesedi Film Center? Lesedi opened its doors in the summer of 2007 offering filmmaking workshops in scriptwriting, directing and acting on east Tremont Ave. in Bronx, NY. In early 2008, Lesedi joined the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club offering a documentary filmmaking workshop. In 2009, Lesedi partnered with Dixon Place Theatre, offering Video ArtDance Choreography exchange workshop at Tompkins Square Middle School.
