It was a very cold day on Saturday with the temperature only just above zero but there were as many people there as on a summer day. The tide was out so the mediterranean gulls were in the car park hoping for chips or sandwich handouts. Friday, 23 September 2011. And the other direction towards Tor. Thursday, 2 February 2012. It was a long cold wait in the Zeiss hide for one of the bitterns to show itself in the reed bed but well worth it in the end. Wednesday, 14 December 2011. There is a pleasant walk from the hotel along the rocky coast, if the wind is in the right direction there can be spectacular waves breaking near the lighthouse. A flock of Trumpeter finch searching for seeds on the beach just outside my hotel. No luck there so what about the Trumpeter finch flock? Tuesday, 13 December 2011.CONTENT
