After a great day spent with family on Thanksgiving my husband played a practical joke on my parents. Our new family tradition with my aunts is making lefsa after our Thanksgiving meal. The kids are now at the age where they want to help and they can. In fact by the end, they needed little assistance. Plus we get the benefit of eating fresh off the grill lefsa, with brown sugar! To be honest some days I feel like a house fell on me.
Sunday, August 30, 2009. Wow, it has been awhile since I updated this site! We have been busy this summer working out, going for walks, swimming, going on short trips, and going to the zoo. We had to find daycare within 48 hours! .

Madeline has been perfecting her jump roping and really taking off with her reading skills. Henry is really getting into superheroes - Spiderman, Ironman, the Hulk. Wednesday, April 15, 2009. I would still consider myself a fan of graphic novels. just not of the ones we read in this class. I think I have grown as a reader. I have learned to look more deeply into the meanings of words and wonder and infer why the author would choose certain words or descriptions.
