Friday, December 7, 2007. A week that I really appreciated, was the week we talked about the awards given to books. Before this class, I think I would have just picked a book because it had an award on it and not really thought twice about its contents. However, after I learned some of the criteria, I feel that I will be more careful and judge the book for myself. Tuesday, December 4, 2007. When choosing a topic, I chose African American literature, because that week had been the most interesting to me.
This makes me more excited for next year. She gives me hope in the American Dream. As the semester draws to a close, I am beginning to realize all that I have learned throughout this semester.
