A record of my journey through surgical palate expansion; braces; and almost definitely double jaw surgery. Monday, 29 September 2014. Life goes on after jaw surgery. We had many family birthdays, lots of sporting events to attend with and for the kids, and well - I got married too. and I just kinda forgot to finish my journey on my blog. So, for anyone who might be interested still, here it is.

Follow my adventures in the world of jaw surgery orthognathic surgery. I had a Bilateral Sagittal Split Osteotomy bsso and a 2 piece LeFort 1 widening my upper jaw. My oral surgeon also reduce my gummy smile by making my upper jaw 5mm shorter and pushing it up and back, tilting it and pushing my lower jaw back 3mm. Apparently I had an overjet AND an underbite. It also said " My midline is off again, thanks to my surgery, but that is easy to fix with my rubberbands. Now my ortho has me in 2 rubberbands to fix my midline and one side that has a bit of an openbite. I see my Ortho on Feb 16th and will continue to see him every 4 weeks. Do not fear or be dismayed. 2016 has been full of different circumstances but through it all I have seen God at work! Our singles Pastor Chase had surgery for brain cancer to be apart of this families journey has been such a learning experience to feel the Lords presence, see them press into the Lord, and always Praising God through it all. This year has brought alot of weddin.
