Mz H-Ks Science Soiree. Wednesday, August 4, 2010. Tech Savvy is not the same as Information Savvy. which is really the ultimate goal. I think a big mistake in the articles is the emphasis on students choices of entertainment rather than assessing their best learning. The two are not the same, but Greenhow seems to gloss that distinction. Well of course it was more entertaining. thats the nature of personal or social activities vs. academics! The technology is not the big distinction in that, is it?

The World As I See It

The World As I See It. Friday, August 6, 2010. Unfortunately, an often overlooked problem with the new wave of technology in classrooms is that there are still many children that have no or little access to computers outside of school. There is no question that incorporating technology into a classroom where all the students have outside access is a great way to prepare them for the technological future. However what happens if some of the students do not have outside computer access? Can you hear me now? .

Thursday, August 5, 2010. I think teachers and parents who avoid technology do their students a great disservice in the long run. I am a prime example of this, by all accounts I should be a Digital Native,. But in actuality I posses the qualities that reflect a Digital Imigant. This fact is ultimately my own fault, but without teachers pushing the integration of technology in the curriculum I would have been at a complete disadvantage in undergrad. Monday, August 2, 2010.
