Tuesday, 8 March 2011. This is my Model for my poster for task 2. Its very similar to my model for task 1. Ive added paper numbers to the model to symbolise the 100 years of G. These are different views of the model and ive zoomed in on a few. Thursday, 3 March 2011. These are some more pictures of my final model. Two of the pictures are dark so i wont be using them in my poster. Tuesday, 1 March 2011.
100 Years of GF Smith Paper. Before starting task 2, I re-read the brief which said to create a poster that celebrates 100 years of GF Smith Paper. I then added the text making sure they were on different layers incase I did something wrong and lost all my work. The poster at this point was lookin.
Friday, 4 March 2011. Final Idea for GF Smith Poster. I think this poster layout works really well. I like that the text follows the jagged shape of the model and it looks more eyecatching rather than the text being in a straight line. The only thing I may change is the size of the lettering. This poster fits into the theme of 100 years as the link chain of models represents a time line. Tuesday, 1 March 2011. Photos to use for my Final Poster.
Saturday, 26 March 2011. For the image of my honey comb sculpture I decided on using a photo of the full sculpture so you are able to see all 100 of the hexagons 1 for every year that GF Smith Paper Company has been trading. I found on Adobe illustrator that if i typed my text in a simple type such a Gill sans, and then used the select tool and go to Effect on the tool bar at the top of the program and go down to 3D and the extrude I can make the tex.
Monday, 14 March 2011. Rather than being and isolated object on my poster the form I produced was designed to be used as an element of the type for my poster. Task 1, Take 2! Once again I formed the individual circles.
Looking back over my self-directed project, even though I am very pleased with the out come of my flip books, there are few things I would do differently after what I have learnt from it. The only reason it took so long was the amount of learning curve that came with using programs and methods that I was al.

We are just under a month away from the release of Chris Brown. We all like a bit of sexy but wowza.
