Iceland Trip - Black-tailed Godwits. Another of the waders that was on the list to be photographed in Iceland was the Black-tailed Godwit. Looking very smart in their summer colours. Nevertheless we came home with some good shots. Wednesday, 29 July 2015.
Tuesday, 31 May 2011. With the exception of the beautiful wide sandy beach at Castletown, the ride is quite uninteresting and most of the houses are dressed in grey pebble dash. The 20 miles seems interminable. We celebrate with the few remaining drops of Bruichladdich.

Gary Jenkins Bird Photography. Sunday, 20 November 2011. Desert Wheatear, Bempton, Yorkshire 27 November 2011. Had a great day out today with my good mate Mike Watson. He rung last night asking if I was up for a trip to Bempton, Yaarkshire for the Desert Wheatear thats been at the cliffs RSPB reserve. We set off at 0600 and had arrived by 0930. The one negative was the birder who blatently walked AT the bird without ant care for its welfare. Sad to hear also on the way home that Gary Speed had died.CONTENT
