Wednesday, 15 July 2015. Our Soccer Trainer John has been teaching us some new skills. We had fun too, choosing a champion from the boys and from the girls. Sunday, 28 June 2015. Hurling League Final June 2015. The medals have the Newcastle colours on the ribbons. The winning captain gives a speech. The player of the tournament is awarded to a 6th class pupil. I did the first reading. We spoke about our memories of our time spent in Newcastle school;. We did the prayers of the faithful. We are very creative and artistic so we brought up our portfolios as part of the offertory procession. We brought up a copy, tin whistle, yearbooks, football, hurley and sliotar,portfolios and memory boxes to remember our time in Newcastle school. Our last day in Junior Infants. What a fantastic year we have had! Thank you to all of the other teachers who worked with us this year- Mrs. Magnier who taught us Maths every week, Ms. Treacy who allowed her class to do so many fun activities with us, Ms. Murphy who loved to see our super work during the year. Most importantly THANK YOU to all the fantastic parents for their support all year.
Saturday, 29 November 2014. Fun With Senior Infants - 28th-11th-2014. After lunch 6th class played magnet games with our friends in Senior Infants. Thank you to Mrs Thornton for letting us play the games with Senior Infants. My big brother is the best! I love fishing with 6th class. We raced the Christmas elves and had great fun. I love this game! I love being a pilot! A nice day for a spot of fishing! Cousins challenge each other to a game! .
Printing Our Fantastic Animals With Local Artists, John Langan and Maria Moore. The pupils of Senior Infants, 3rd, 4th and 5th class of St Oliver Plunkett N. were extremely lucky and very excited to be visited by local artists John Langan and Maria Moore last week. The end results were truly amazing and we really enjoyed experimenting with different colours and also analysing and comparing our 1st,2nd and 3rd prints. When designing our next wonderfully imaginative designs! .
