Sunday, August 9, 2015. Quarter Log Cabin Quilt Finish. In June, I asked our Believe Circle group to send in quarter log cabin blocks. They had my blocks along with an inspiration quilt for the color palette. The result is this sweet quilt with rows slightly offset. After spending a few days looking at the quilt top,. I started noticing a trend. There were just a few flowers with petals. This picture was taken before the quilt was bound and washed. Thank you to all of the Believe Circle members.
Wednesday, March 12, 2014. The Battle of the UFOs is WON! I finally finished two very old UFOs. The second one is a pattern called SnapShot. I have used several Atkinson patterns over the years and have found them easy to follow. I bought the pattern and the fabric about 5 years ago from my LQS, Pennington Quilt Works. This table reminds me of planar datum. The designer is Gerrit T. Rietveld, built around 1922-1923.
Wednesday, December 3, 2008. I quickly snapped this picture under a tree on campus, because I really liked the way the light broke through the canopy. I intentionally meant for the light to be off-centered, but once I downloaded the picture, I realized the branch lead to it and created an unique composition. This large interior, said to be the largest for a thousand years, utilizes openings to utilized natural light. Repetitions is also a common. Guggenheim, Frank Lloyd Wright. Airport, Madrid, Spain.
