National Presidents Blog

Wednesday, July 9, 2008. What do Cracker Barrel, GooGoo Clusters, Taylor Swift, and Moon Pies all have in common? Well, they all originate from the state where I had the opportunity to spend my FFA week - Tennessee! One morning the state officer team and I had the opportunity to interact with legislators, and even speak on the floor to the Tennessee House of Representatives! Who knew a jacket could instill power? Who knew that an organization could change a life? .

Revels on the Road

Thursday, July 10, 2008. Arriving in Fresno I was greeted by the warm smile of our future team Mom, Mrs. Sonya Parker! We headed back to the hotel and changed quickly for the executive committee meeting and a great taco dinner! After dinner, Mr. Parker, California assistant state advisor, brought Becky and I to the arena to see the convention set up. WOW, this place was huge! I was extremely excited for the weekend to come so I could be a part of a convention of such magnitude! I have.
