Wednesday, July 9, 2008. What do Cracker Barrel, GooGoo Clusters, Taylor Swift, and Moon Pies all have in common? Well, they all originate from the state where I had the opportunity to spend my FFA week - Tennessee! One morning the state officer team and I had the opportunity to interact with legislators, and even speak on the floor to the Tennessee House of Representatives! Monday, October 13, 2008. Thank You for REALLY Making a Difference. In a few weeks, my teammates and I will be passing the torch. We feel so privledged to have been given this opportunity to serve the FFA at the national level. October 22-25 we will celebrate those national winners and supporters of our organization. To all of those who have made it to such a high level- that is quite an accomplishment.
Monday, October 13, 2008. I am sitting in the Indiana FFA Fellowship Center in Trafalgar, Indiana, in gym shorts and an FFA chapter T-shirt. My teammates and I are preparing for our upcoming convention. Who knew that by joining FFA, this small-town farm-kid would get to travel to state competitions, national conventions, agricultural businesses, other countries, meet some of his best friends, fail, succeed and grow? Who knew a jacket could instill power? Who knew that an organization could change a life? .

Thursday, July 10, 2008. Arriving in Fresno I was greeted by the warm smile of our future team Mom, Mrs. Sonya Parker! We headed back to the hotel and changed quickly for the executive committee meeting and a great taco dinner! After dinner, Mr. Parker, California assistant state advisor, brought Becky and I to the arena to see the convention set up. WOW, this place was huge! I was extremely excited for the weekend to come so I could be a part of a convention of such magnitude! I have.
