The International Union for the Conservation of Nature lists 9 species of spider monkey, it lists 3 species as Critically Endangered; 5 species as Endangered, and 1 species is Vulnerable. Try to carpool with friends and family plus try to use your bike or a bus because it not only prevents plenty of poulution but it also halp the animals and trees. Recycle because not only does it save energy and trees but it saves poor birds like the spoted owls nets from becoming extinct. Buy local foods because it saves money, gas, underwater animals and our precious ozone layers.

Endangered animals need intervention from volunteers to help them survive. Almost 800 species have already disappeared from the planet. Habitat destruction, the introduction of nonnative species, hunting, and overexploitation by humans are among the main reasons animals become endangered.

Wednesday, December 10, 2008. The red panda is an endangered specie. I must say it is really adorable. Wikipedia gives a lot of great information about the Red Panda, or Lesser Panda. Their threats section is not sited though, which means the information may not be correct. Still the other areas provide reliable resources.
